The mission of the Coalition for Justice and Peace in Africa is to empower stakeholders who work in African law and justice systems to perform their duties and to discharge their responsibilities to the best of their abilities. It is also to empower the beneficiaries of legal services to demand accountability for inadequate and inefficient delivery of legal services they are entitled to receive. Therefore, our activities aim to:

  • Foster transparency and accountability in administration of law and delivery of justice at the level of each African country;
  • Encourage governments and intergovernmental organizations to procure the resources required to adequately and sustainably equip the African legal profession to enable it to deliver efficient results; and
  • Promote cooperation among relevant stakeholders and people of goodwill around the world to advance justice, safeguard peace and sustain economic growth and development in Africa.
