PALU Conference in Washington, DC (2015)

One of CJPA’s partner organizations, the Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU), hosted its first conference in Washington DC in March 25, 2015. The conference was titled: Advancing the legal Profession, Promoting human rights and Good Governance in Africa: Strengthening ties with African lawyers.

CJPA board members Edward Nwachi and Therese Muleka Mubikayi represented CJPA at this historic event and also met with PALU officials to discuss issues of mutual interest to both organizations.

Attendees at the event included leaders of various domestic and international organizations, lawyers, law students and legal scholars from within and outside the Washington DC area.
